£1.4m Stockport lighting work up for grabs

Totally Local Company, a street lighting service provider, has tendered a new street light framework with an estimated value of up to £1.44m on behalf of Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.

Work covered by the framework will be split into three lots:

• Lot 1 - Street Lighting Installation and Maintenance – estimated value of £1.2m
• Lot 2 - Annual Seasonal Lighting Installation and Removal – estimated value of £105,600
• Lot 3 - Manufacture and Provision of Highways Signage – estimated value of £96,000

For each lot, the two highest-scoring contractors will be appointed to carry out the works by the Stockport-based company. These successful suppliers will be contracted from 1 December 2025 until 30 November 2029.

Companies wishing to enquire about this framework must do so by 15 October. Tenders are then due for submission to the council by 29 October.

The successful applications are expected to be announced on 10 November.
