A-Plant secures contract with Kier

A-Plant Lux Traffic Control & Management will provide traffic management equipment to Kier after winning a five-year framework agreement with the company.

The multi-million pound agreement sees A-Plant further strengthen its relationship with Kier as it already has agreements in place across a number of other products.

Business development director for A-Plant Lux, Jim McLachlan, said: “We are delighted to have secured this framework agreement with Kier. Over the last 12 months we’ve invested heavily in new traffic management equipment giving us the most modern fleet in the industry to support our customers with.

“Due to the scale of our business we are able to serve all of Kier’s traffic requirements, something that no other company can offer. All of our staff are qualified to high speed traffic management (HSTM) operative requirements of LANTRA, meaning we can support Kier on all types of traffic work. We have a dedicated national call centre that can manage all of Kier’s traffic enquiries, from site drawings, local authority liaison work and installation to 24/7 emergency callout cover.”

Kier Group procurement director, Kevan Jepps, added: “We’re pleased to have signed this framework agreement with A-Plant Lux. Its national service, qualified personnel and modern fleet of equipment make them a natural fit for our business. Our new agreement will mean that we’re able to effectively plan and prioritise our resources in the long-term, knowing that our traffic works requirements will be expertly managed.”
