Ayrshire traffic signs job up for grabs

East Ayrshire council is looking for a partner to supply, maintain and repair traffic signs across the region.

The council said: "East Ayrshire Council has approximately 235 solar/electronic signs throughout the Council area which will require to be included on a regular maintenance schedule together with reprogramming of 125 of these signs, with repairs carried out on an as required basis.

"A call-out repairs service will also be required together with an electronic asset management and monitoring system for the collation of various pieces of information such as locations, faults, drawings etc.

"Purchase of signs will be on an as required basis. South Ayrshire Council have a total of 81 signs which will require to be repaired on an as required basis.

"South Ayrshire Council will also have the option to purchase signs from this contract also. The contract will be for a period of 3 years with 2 one-year extension options."
