Costain has announced the appointment of former Amey boss Andy Denman as its new road sector director.
Mr Denman has more than 25 years of experience leading highways and construction businesses and has also held posts at Ringway Jacobs, Skanska and Atkins.
He joined Costain from Amey, where he was the highways sector director working closely with National Highways, Transport Scotland and local authorities across the UK.
The appointment came after Costain was recently selected by National Highways for its new Specialist Professional and Technical Services Framework (SPaTS3), which will cover the Roads Investment Strategy 3 (2026-2031).
National Highways has also made Costain a delivery partner for the M60 Simister Island Interchange scheme, which received funding confirmation in the Government’s recent Infrastructure Pipeline.
In his new role, Mr Denman will drive 'strategic focus on growth in strong markets, delivering complex schemes, renewals projects and maintenance services', Costain said.
