Dalkia has secured a second 12-month extension to its contract to maintain critical infrastructure on strategic roads in North and Mid Wales.
The contract with North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent (NMWTRA) has now been extended for a second time to the maximum permitted five years, seeing it through until May 2025.
The NMWTRA is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the strategic road network in North and Mid Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government. Dalkia's contract is worth approximately £3m a year and spans the entirety of North and Mid Wales, reaching from Anglesey to the Brecon Beacons.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, maintenance and oversight of high-voltage and low-voltage switchboards/networks, tunnel lighting and ventilation, tunnel lane control and matrix signage, public address systems, radio rebroadcasting systems, gas detection systems, nitrogen foam systems, fire detection, and VAID and CCTV systems.
Dalkia said its dedicated team of local engineers, IT specialists, and project administrators operating from its regional office in Mochdre, Colwyn Bay, North Wales are equipped to respond swiftly to any situation with a 24-hour, 365-days-a-year call-out cover.
