Eurovia Surfacing completes M6 job

Eurovia Surfacing has successfully completed a resurfacing project on the M6 after laying 1,800 tonnes of asphalt in one shift.  

Following previous successful deliveries of surfacing works on the M6 Toll, the company were commissioned again by Midland Expressway to undertake further work.

Working with supply chain partners, over a weekend, an extensive programme was implemented for this project which included preparatory works of closing a six lane motorway lane down to three lanes and implementing narrow lane running before the planing and surfacing work could commence.

Neil Huntington, regional director, said: “Eurovia Surfacing have extensive knowledge and experience of working on motorway schemes, including the M6. Recently we have received praise from both Highways England and the M6 Toll Board, for our excellent service delivery, which continues to strengthen our reputation and set us in good stead for bidding the next phase of works on the M6 Toll with Midland Expressway.”
