Mott hits the final spot

Highways England has appointed Mott MacDonald to the final place on its Regional Delivery Partnership (RDP) technical adviser framework in a deal worth up to £20m.

The other five firms on the framework, which is valued at £260m and divided into six lots, were announced in July but Lot 2 was not awarded as all eligible suppliers were awarded another lot.

It is this remaining lot that Mott has now secured, which covers the South East and East regions for schemes with a client budget of less than or equal to £100m.

The technical adviser will recommend to Highways England the best route option and then protect its technical interests throughout the development and delivery phases of a scheme.

It will then act as an enabler in its relationship with the Delivery Integration Partner, ‘assisting Highways England to create the environment for project success’.

A contract notice for the award makes clear that although schemes allocated to this framework will be issued through a direct award to the successful tenderer, it is not guaranteed any work or specific schemes from the process.

The new award fills the missing space on the framework
