Peri awarded A465 contract

Peri has been awarded a contract to work on the A465 Heads of the Valley Road project in Wales.

The £150million project, which will see improvements made to a 7.8km stretch of the road between Brynmawr junction and Tredegar, started in July 2013 and is due for completion in July 2015. This is phase three of the project being run by the Welsh Government, upgrading the existing three-lane road to a dual carriageway and includes a 3km surfaced cycleway.

Peri is supplying Variokit parapet track and carriage to four bridges, which will be both steel and concrete. The client already has Trio and Vario in stock and is therefore confident that the product can ensure a high quality finish. Special steel columns will be used for the column formwork.

One of the main reasons Thames Valley Construction have chosen Peri is the fact that man hours will be saved with the making of the walls and bridges.
