The Road Safety Markings Association's (RSMA) Annual Conference and Dinner will take place on 2 February 2023 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, East Midlands.
The RSMA said its aim is to drive, support and inform the continuous development of a successful sector under the theme ‘The Route Ahead: The Road to 2030’.
The conference will cover environmental challenges; industry safety; operative health and wellbeing; autonomy; road infrastructure performance; and economic challenges.
Road marking and wider highways sectors have continued to evolve and 'must adapt' to the push towards more environmentally friendly modes of travel infrastructure, the RSMA said.
It added that autonomous vehicles (AVs) have moved road maintenance very much to the top of the agenda, especially the need for well-maintained high quality road markings to support AV capabilities.
Chief executive Stu McInroy (pictured) said: ‘November 2019 was our last Conference and Dinner and that seems now to be a very, very long time ago. In the intervening period we have taken the opportunity to review how and when we put on conference and this has resulted in a move to February and reducing the conference to a one-day only event.
‘The day is packed full of excellent speakers and exhibitors and will provide the opportunity for the first time in over 3 years for delegates to meet in 3-D – it’s an excellent opportunity to meet up with old friends and business acquaintances and to make some new ones.’

The RSMA Dinner 2023 will follow the conference, with entertainment from renowned comedian Geoff Norcott.
