Ringway has been reappointed as the highways service delivery partner for Milton Keynes City Council for a second term, in a deal worth up to £210m.
The contract value is approximately £21m per year for an initial eight-year term, which begins on 1 September 2024, with a potential two-year extension, subject to performance.
Ringway has worked with Milton Keynes since 2014.
It said the contract renewal was a testament to the 'innovative and sustainable way it had evolved the service' and its 'investment in honest, open partnership working on sustainable, digital services, which add value to the local economy'.
Stuart Proffitt, the council's director of environment and property, said: 'MK residents will see an improved highway service in this new contract, including improved customer interfaces, the use of new technology and innovation like AI, a green fleet of vehicles and enhanced community engagement.'
Ringway will undertake routine, reactive and cyclical highway maintenance together with emergency response services, and winter and abnormal weather service operations.
In addition, there are major maintenance and capital improvement plans including drainage schemes, highway and junction improvements, public realm projects, safety and traffic management works and the maintenance of highways electrical assets.

The contract highway assets cover 1,526km of the local highways, 763 bridges and highway structures, 54,400 streetlights, 41 traffic signals, 72,000 drainage assets and 114,000 trees.
