Scotland TranServ appoints new contract director

Gordon Wilson has been appointed as contract director at Scotland TranServ.

Scotland TranServ is a Mouchel/Balfour Beatty joint venture which manages and maintains south west Scotland’s motorways and trunk roads.

Wilson (pictured) has significant experience of the Scottish roads maintenance market and brings over 30 years’ experience of roads operations both in the public and private sectors having previously spearheaded roads operations for Lothian Regional Council, West Lothian Council and North Lanarkshire Council as well as holding director level posts in the roads consultancy market with Grotmij and most recently Mouchel.

Over the past year, as business unit director for Mouchel, Wilson had played a pivotal role in the contract on the joint venture board with a particular focus on operational activity.

Head of network maintenance at Transport Scotland, Graham Edmond said:
