Slew of Nottingham highways frameworks announced

Nottingham City Council has published seven highways-related framework announcements, with the expected value of the contracts totalling £46.9m.

The largest of the seven frameworks is the Highways Planned Carriageway Maintenance Framework, which has an estimated value of £30m and will see tenders submitted for a contract that will run from 1 February 2027 for four years until 31 January 2031.

The council has also announced a road markings and antiskid framework valued at £3.6m. The successful supplier would have a four-year contract running from 1 April 2026 until 31 March 2030.

An additional framework for contractors to carry out maintenance and improvements to highways structures has been published, with another four-year contract (running from 21 February 2027 to 20 February 2031) estimated to be worth over £3.1m.

Temporary traffic management is also up for grabs, with Nottingham CC looking to appoint the successful supplier to provide temporary traffic management solutions between 11 May 2026 and 10 May 2030. This contract is valued at £3m.

A further three frameworks, each valued at £2.4m, were also announced; one for highways construction materials (four years between 22 October 2025 and 21 October 2029), one for traffic management systems (1 July 2026 to 30 June 2030) and another for highways tool, plant and welfare (18 December 2026 to 17 December 2030).
