Specialists assigned to £120m TfGM framework

Specialists have been allocated places on a transport professional services (TPS) framework created by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) reportedly worth around £120m.

The four-year multidisciplinary framework is intended to establish a network of suppliers to provide TfGM with transport-related consultancy services, including in support of the city's £2.5bn of capital works under the Government’s Transport for the City Region’s fund.

The city region cash has been earmarked for highways maintenance; walking, wheeling and cycling networks; expanding cycle hire; new stations, stops and interchanges; and bus priority measures.

The consultants assigned to the framework are expected to provide professional services – such as project management, design and engineering, transport strategy and legal services – across 16 lots.

• Pell Frischmann Consultants Ltd (on four lots) 
• Mott MacDonald Limited (on three lots)
• Arcadis Consulting (UK) Limited (on three lots)
• AtkinsRéalis Limited (on two lots)

TfGM have made the framework available to other contracting authorities, such as combined authorities, councils, police forces and fire and rescue services.

Frank Tudor, TfGM’s commercial services director said: ‘The advisors appointed to the framework will provide expertise to us to continue with the successful track record of delivery that TfGM has earned over the decades as we work to deliver the UK’s first fully integrated, zero-emission public transport network.’
