Jacobs has promoted senior vice president Richard Sanderson to become the company’s new general manager for Europe and the UK, effective from 29 September.
A transport planner by background, Mr Sanderson has more than 30 years of experience at the organisation - working in Halcrow from 1995, through its acquisition by CH2M Hill and then staying on after its acquisition by Jacobs in 2017.
He has built a career that spans technical delivery, operational management, sales and market solutions and has worked with clients across infrastructure, energy, water, environment and urban development.
Jacobs said that Mr Sanderson had contributed to some of its 'most complex and high-profile programs', most recently serving as head of sector for transportation in Europe.
Jacobs' executive vice president Keith Lawson said: 'Richard is a highly respected leader with deep industry knowledge and a proven track record of collaboration, building strong teams and lasting client relationships. His leadership style, strategic mindset, and ability to inspire will be invaluable as we continue to grow and deliver impact across Europe and the U.K.'

He succeeds Kate Kenny, who left the company in the summer. At the time, she said she would be taking some holiday before 'starting an exciting new role in September'.
