Volker wins West Sussex core services deal

VolkerHighways has won a core services maintenance contract with West Sussex County Council, set to begin on 1 April this year and last for seven years, with a possible extension of seven further years.

The deal has an estimated combined annual revenue and capital spend of £16.5m per annum and so could be worth over £230m.

Volker will be responsible for planned, responsive and emergency highway maintenance and improvement activities across the West Sussex region.

The work will include structures, footway and winter maintenance, patching, resurfacing, verge, signs and marking maintenance.
